About Me
I'm the one behind sidequesting — you can call me DrMrProfessor, or MinimumWageWizard.
I've always been drawn to tech, but somewhere along the way it sharpened into something specific: cybersecurity, and a genuine conviction that privacy is worth fighting for. This site is where I document the journey from "into tech" to "does this for a living" — the projects, the dead ends, the things I break and then figure out.
The direction I'm heading is offensive security — red teaming and the emerging world of AI security. It's a field that rewards curiosity, stubbornness, and a willingness to pull things apart to understand how they really work, which happens to be how I'm wired.
Most of what you'll find here is me building in public. A homelab that's equal parts learning platform and rabbit hole. A budgeting app I'm writing because the market wouldn't build the one I wanted. Notes from the courses and certs I'm working through. Whatever side quest has my attention this week — hence the name.
I keep this space pseudonymous on purpose. If I'm going to advocate for privacy, it'd be a bit rich not to practise it. You'll get my work, my thinking, and my voice — just not my PII.
If any of that resonates, stick around. There's more coming.
